Discit welcomes Google Scholar's tracking of public-access mandate

Google Scholar con-founder Anurag Acharya explains that individual researcher's profile in Google Scholar now displays papers which should be open-access based on the funding requirements. This information is extracted from the funding acknowledgement information appearing in publications.

Although the research community is divided in its opinion regarding this step from Scholar, Discit welcomes this bold step as it will drive more publications to be available as open-access in the future.
